We are a two-man practice with a list of nearly 4,000 patients in and around the Tollesbury area. 

Attached to the practice are a health visitor, district nurses, midwives and a chi-ropodist - all employed by Mid-Essex Area Health Authority. 

Our own surgery staff all live locally, and are able to help with any matter relating to the practice and associated aspects, e.g. hospital transport. 

There are dispensing arrangements at Tollesbury for the majority of patients while provision is made to dispatch prescriptions to Tolleshunt D'Arcy and Goldhanger. 

There is a good size car park at the front of the premises and ample room for bicycles and pushchairs to be left safely.

APPOINTMENTS

Most surgeries are "open" and no appointment is required. It would be helpful for staff and patients alike if those attending could arrive by 10.30 a.m, Mon - Fri. 6..00 p.m. Tues& Friday evening or 7..00 p.m. on Thursday evening, as appropriate. 

For cervical cytology, minor surgery, antenatal clinic, chiropody, and Wednesday afternoon surgery, appointments are required.

HOME VISITS AND EMERGENCY CALLS

Please contact the surgery by 10.30 a.m. for home visit requests.
Emergency calls - telephone the surgery. An answering machine will advise you whom to contact if the surgery is unattended. 

DISPENSING

Prescriptions can be dispensed at Tollesbury during surgery and clinic hours, and every weekday morning.
Please give 24 hours notice for a repeat prescription requirement.

Please come to the surgery with your medical cards and speak to the receptionist. 

New patients and those who have not been seen by a doctor in the last three years are invited for a lifestyle check - details will be given to you.

Please inform us of any change of your name or address as soon as possible. 
In general, for any queries telephone the surgery. 

Out of hours, except when on annual leave and in occasional other circumstances, one of the practice doctors is available. No deputising service is used.
